A wit! A very palpable wit!

I have my own variation on the Woody Allen mythos involving a nightstand drawer and 71 index cards on which, since I was tibia-high to a caelifera, I have written unfamiliar words and their definitions. It is a praxis I learned from my father.

The paragon of those cards: “hemidemisemiquaver.” Spied that one in a Peter De Vries novel, “The Prick of Noon.”

When it comes to being periphrastic, I entreat you to go on with your bad self. Worry not. Expound away.

As for your titular interrogative, “Where Are the Men Who Love Logophiles?,” let me quote the Appalachian bard, Andy Griffith: “I’m rightcheer!”
