Perhaps the solution is to formulate a deeper, more coherent position before you speak. That way, you're less likely to get the stink-eye from a bunch of your peers. Maybe the problem isn't that Camp's idea was horrible--maybe it was simply not quite ready for primetime. I, for one, would rather not hear someone's opinion until it is well-thought-out and, therefore, able to be well delivered.
