Well, I didn’t mention the amnesia, not because I was ignoring it but because, in both novel and movie, it’s clear that while the adult Losers forget the details of their childhood battle with It, they remember non-It elements of one another.

For example, every Loser recognizes Mike when he calls them. Beverly remembers the haiku Ben wrote for her. Bill remembers his bike, Silver. They all remember their clubhouse. Makes sense, then, that Eddie and/or Richie would remember their love.

I’m a big supporter of representation in cinema . . . when it’s earned.
